Since a dust collector applied to an explosive place is explosive, its operation is different from that of a common dust collector. The followings are precautions of operating an explosion-proof type dust collector.
Since a dust collector applied to an explosive place is explosive, its operation is different from that of a common dust collector. The followings are precautions of operating an explosion-proof type dust collector.
① Do not open manhole door, cover and material poking hole randomly during operation of an explosion-proof type dust collector. If the explosion-proof dust collector has smoldering, wall gas will enter the explosion-proof dust collector from the opening, causing sudden combustion and explosion. When a worker needs to enter the explosion-proof dust collector for inspection after the process equipment stops, air shall not be blown in the explosion-proof dust collector for cooling and the valves on inlet and outlet pipes of the dust collector shall be closed to make it cooling naturally.
② Rainproof measures shall be taken for outdoor explosion-proof bag dust collector to prevent rain from entering the insulation layer, which lowers insulation effect, causes poor consequence of condensation or clogs the dust collection bag.
③When injecting inert gas in the explosion-proof dust collector for fire extinguishing, valves on inlet and outlet pipes shall be closed; otherwise, inert gas will be soon diluted by air and fail to play a role in fire extinguishing.
④ Avoid external heat source, for instance, set certain distance away from a combustion device or add a heat shield.
⑤ There shall be sufficient idling time before stopping the dust collector to remove combustible and explosive dust (pulverized coal, etc.) in dust collection and conveying systems thoroughly.
